Vinal Square
North Chelmsford
Vinal Square (formerly known as Stephen's Corner) was named after local WWI private Alberton W. Vinal, who was killed in France. The monument with a statue of a soldier honors many individual men (Private Alberton W. Vinal, Corporal George R. Quessy, and Lieutenant Egbert F. Tetley) as well as the "men of Chelmsford who made the supreme sacrifice in the World War". Another monument in the
square honors all of the Chelmsford men who died in the Vietnam War, as well as individuals (John F. Bettencourt, Kenneth R. Hughes, Peter V. Blazonis and James A. Doughty). For more information, click on the button below titled "More Information"
